Ow Pine, that looks painful, take it easy. I have a hernia op coming up later this month which is pretty damn uncomfortable but it gets better within a couple of weeks. That's also putting me off doing music, I don't really want to start anything until after I have recovered from the op. The bruising after a hernia op is pretty impressive (I've already had one side done) but I won't post any photos as you wouldn't want to see them....

Hi Pine hope you get better soon mate that looks a little painful to say the least , could not think of a better time than to pick your guitar up and play though , but i know what you mean , seems there is quite a few muso,s on here, who are struggling to burst out and record and post some music either here or anywhere for that matter , that includes me by the way, but it is good to know when you are ready to record , this is the place to post and you have friends who will listen, comment with good vibes and inspiration ,

C yer soon Pine and take care of them guitars , you will come back to them sooner than you think !

Well, as usual, even tho I've not been actively posting for a long time, you guys step up and treat me like I've never left. Really appreciate your compassion and well wishes guys. I'm still not to the point where i'm glad I had this done, but hopefully that day will come... and maybe i'll end up like ORH's friend who jogs after two TKR's!  I just want each and ever one of you to know that your condolences and positive attitudes are a big help. Some of you have been thru similar things and many of you have yet to get there... but old age is inevitable and along with it, for most, a bunch of physical issues that are not in the realm of fun. Farrell, I looked up your back surgery and...ouch!...that was SERIOUS! Not sure there is anything worse than back issues, except for maybe horrible chronic migraines. Glad to hear you bounced back but  when you say that the first month was a real son of a bitch, man I hear ya. Seems they always downplay that. What I'm going thru sucks, but there are so many things that are far worse.  Far, far worse.
Mike S...your comment on the reasons for continuing decline in participation was a good one. We've all belonged to other sites and many of us still do.... and I can say from my experience that this issue is not exclusive to Songcrafters. ALL the sites are in decline. I have theories on why this is... but that should be another thread.
I thought maybe I would post some songs good enough to post here that I have written but never posted .. but lo and behold, I could only find one.  I envy those of you who still have the fire and inspiration. You set a good example for all of us.
Thanks again gang for your well wishes.

Pine,...I saw the picture of your knee. I am a former physiotherapist and have worked in orthopaedics for over 20 years... I know that knee prostheses are always tricky in rehabilitation.
I wish you much courage and a good physiotherapist (preferably also musician)

PS and all the people who love the Guild  D25 are necessarily beautiful people.
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Hey Brother if you would stop chasing the goats up down the hills  Your knees would have a break. Hope things are going well and the recovery is going well.  I move to the new farm in 13 days so all my stuff is in boxes and my guitars are living at a friends house.
Keep the faith brother
