Been saving this one up until I had a bit of time to sit down and savour it. A really enjoyable slice of psychedelia, but it's also got a good helping of gentle English melancholy with it, kind of like Roy Harper goes psychedelic. The lyrics are brilliant, a really clever idea to use the adoption of old style uniforms by the fashionistas of the time as a metaphor for the fading of empire. It really was the start of a new age in many ways.

I really like the arrangement, in particular the swirly guitars and the contrast between the verses and choruses. Lots of subtle stuff going on here with really nice use of the keyboards to augment your guitars. Lovely job, more like this!

It brought back many memories of growing up. 67/68 were formative years for me (aged 10/11) in which I really started getting into music. I loved the Kinks, Small Faces and of course Floyd (See Emily Play was the first single I bought with my own money). I went to London with my parents in 1967, we went to Carnaby Street and I bought a kipper tie in Portobello Market, how cool was that?  :D Jeez, that's so far away now.....

Swirly, whirly goodness going on here. Love that bass line, outstanding production.
Rock on!

The first 'Songcrafter's' track that I have listened to in the new room.

Well worth the wait - I was waiting, it's fab Tim.

I'm sure it's been said already (Haven't read all the replies), but your bass level, tone and melody is always phenomenal!! And the tremolo is in perfect time with the tempo - It's an attention to detail thing that seems to be overlooked a lot when people use that effect.

Brilliant songwriting/performing as usual!

I donĀ“t know what to say. I am speechless! I love this! So marvelous song and performance. I really like that effect when your voice is far and then coming near. It feels so intimate.
