Hi all, last one for a little while, got a busy few days coming up. Hope you enjoy.    Willie

Jazzmaster, Strat and Precision bass

We made love in the kitchen
Or that's what she called it I think
She was squashed up to the washing machine
And I was squashed up to the sink

That was the first time and the last time
We never made love again
I was tempted away by a life on the road
Anything was  better than stay

This time, this time you say it's real
This time, this time it's real

Next time yeah the next time
She was pushing a pram down the street
She'd married a man who just wanted kids
For the money he got off the state

This time, this time you say it's real
This time, this time it's real

Instrumental

She lived in a house down dead end street
Just like the one where we first met
I can't help feeling sorry for her
She's up to her neck in debt

Classic Willie, and I like the chorus chords. Great job Willie!

Playing Catch-up at the moment,
Another cracker Willie.
Well done.

Another classic Willie song. Can't fault it, I'm just amazed you can keep producing such great work. Really enjoyed the groove of this one and the poignant lyrics.

I keep wondering if your songs are autobiographical..... If they are, you've led a much more interesting life than me!

Greeny

Very catchy and classic-sounding, like a Dr Hook or Bellamy Brothers song from the 70's (which is a good thing!). Lovely jangle and vibe, and an excellent performance.

Reminds me of a famous Australian radio phone in where the presenter asked a female guest where she'd made love that morning (expecting her to say kitchen, bedroom etc). "Up the arse" was the shocking on-air reply!
