QuoteNow if you do requests, how about Johnnie Allan's version of Promised Land?
The Promised Land Johnny Halliday 1975

special gift for Mr Ferryman, French version because I can't sing this song in English (too delicate for me)  ;D

...despite all the troubles he may have suffered, Chuck Berry remains a true patriot singing his love of the country in "Back in USA" then "Promised Land".
Johnnie Allan covers this song in the Cajun way, with an accordion, and puts it back in everyone's mind, creating a new version, especially that of Elvis Presley. In France Johnny Halliday recorded this song, with French lyrics in 1975, Nashville

I did the guitar solo "like" Chuck Berry (more exactly Keith Richard, first period...), all others instruments Basse, drums, piano BIAB,thank you guys of BIAB  ;)

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

This was the first place I checked when I logged in today, wondering what you may have posted..... And here it is! I didn't know that Johnny Halliday did a version of this, so this is a nice tribute to him. I really enjoyed this, I've had it on repeat play for quite a while and you, and BIAB, have really captured the feel of Johnny's version, although I like your swing groove a bit more. Really nice guitar solo and good to hear it sung in French. French guys can sing the blues and also rock'n'roll!!!

Very enjoyable, many thanks for posting.
