Mrs Willie is still baby sitting but at least I've done my chores today and there was just time for a new song.  Hope you enjoy.   Willie

I saw her waiting in the pouring rain
I saw her waiting 'til he came along
She put her arms out and  he walked right by
How much longer will this thing go on

Should have waited, she should have waited for me
Should have waited, she should have waited for me

Found a cafe and they both sat down
Took out her money and she put it down
Both sat staring right out into space
Not a word not a smile on their face

Should have waited, she should have waited for me
Should have waited, she should have waited for me

Heard him say that he had to go
Think I oughta let her know
He's a cheat and he plays around
And he won't stop 'til he's brought her down

Should have waited, she should have waited for me
Should have waited, she should have waited for me

A healthy dose of melancholy with an enduring melody. I really like your vocals on this one, very expressive. A top notch song.

Redler

Top class job on each way, Willie! The chorus is so good and catchy - nice Tom Petty vibe on this!

Definitely got the Tom Petty vibe before I saw Kari's comment. You gotta love it.
I really like your music. You have class Willie, this is very nice.

Impossible not to like. Lush, catchy and wistful. Really nicely put together, and the performance is top-notch.

Enjoyed very much, thanks Willie. Vocals and production sound particularly lush on this one, it all hangs together beautifully. Your productions are very consistent in their feel and quality, it's always a pleasure to hear your songs. I agree with the others on this one, a nice melancholy, reflective feel here with very subtle guitar work all round. Although I'm not certain that Mrs Willie might agree with the subject matter...... ;)
