Did you ever bump into an old lover and know it wasn't quite over?

When I saw you I was tongue tied
Not knowing the words to say
You looked at me
And I know you felt the same way
You turned and said it's been a long long time
To way back then

There was thunder and lightening
In the sky that night
I shook her hand but you know
It didn't feel quite right
I wanted to take you in my arms again
Like way back then

I couldn't tell you why we fell apart
I only know I had a broken heart
I only know if I had my time again
Well the place I'd go is way back then

Instrumental

You turned and said it's been a long long time
To way back then

I felt a tingle as she kissed my cheek
And I shivered and felt my knees go weak
I'd shed my tears but now they're back again
Like way back then
Like way back then
Like way back then

Pure class. And you make it sound so natural and easy. Love those pedal-steel style melancholy swells especially. But the whole thing is lush, catchy and beautifully realised.

Absolutely agree with James. This place wouldn't be the same without you, no bullshitting when I say that.
