It's incredible how 1966 was such a prolific year, by a musical point of view...

This one - very, very famous - was by Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66.

The guitar is my old classical Yamaha G180A (1975-80 circa), passing through a Zoom AC3 acoustic processor. Guitar tuning DADGBE

Bass-piano-drums: BIAB RealTracks

Enjoy!  :)

Dear Alfredo; It's really very good
lthe sound of nylon guitar is beautiful and and you have caught the beat of this song with BIAB
I've always wanted to do Berimbau but i never knew how to apprehend this beautiful song of Baden Pauwells

Can I use your version to make a version sung with the beautiful French lyrics of Claude Nougaro (Bidonville)?

This morning I was looking for a not too difficult piece of Banden who is one of my favorite guitarists ... I think that after I did a Brazilian remake I will do Valsa sem nome ;)

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Thank you!
Of course, no problem, and if you want I can send you the rendering of the backing track, without guitar...Doubling guitar and melody voice could be not so nice, too much redundant, IMHO...let me know.

Wow, beautiful playing and very well recorded Alfredo. The guitar sounds are fantastic.

My dad had a Sergio Mendes album that was played quite a lot on our "music centre" in the early 70s. Takes me back to when I was young.....
