Here's a new one just finished.  If there is a genre such as acoustic jazzy-folk, this might fit into it.  My friend and I tracked it on the BR-800, mixed it on Sonar, and first time mastering on Ozone 8.  It's in drop D tuning.   Interested in your feedback, suggestions, as always.  Thanks for listening.

Fireflies     c 2018

Chasing fireflies with the moonlight in her eyes,
Wears my heart on her sleeve,
 Dance in circles, double time,
 Cast a spell over me.

Falling prisoner to the beating of one's heart,
Telling secrets, to the moon,
Catching stardust, crystal blue,
Letting go, too soon.

Chorus:
Edge of night, the world spins by
Familiar tune, a lover's sigh
Stars that glitter, fading soon
Like fireflies, under the moon

Fleeting moments with the moonlight in her eyes,
Dance in circles, two by two,
Illumination dissipates,
Fireflies, and you

"Play because you love it. Don't worry about if it will ever make any money, just understand that playing is an end in itself, and you play music, it will make your life better. And, don't worry about being a star, don't worry about making money, worry about nothing, just sit down with your guitar and let it speak to you and that will make your life better. It will bring beauty into your life. It's a great thing to do."     ---- David Crosby

Very nice! Some percussion would sound good...such as congas, bongos, maracas etc. Well done!

I really enjoyed this. It reminded me of Dan Hicks
.
You have a great guitar tone and the playing is excellent.

I liked the harmony vocals. You could double the backing vocals and pan them hard left and right?

I agree that some percussion would be good. The BR 800 may have something to offer in that space?

Nice work.

Nicely played guitar, it sounds good and the playing is top. I like the way the melody compliments the guitar as well. And the doubling of the vocal was a nice touch.
