in the 70s, there was in France, a real craze for Bluegrass music

Many folk musicians and others were influenced by this music
Pierre Bensusan, the fabulous French guitarist for example, started as a mandolinist in French bluegrass bands (he accompanied Bill Monroe as a mandolinist during his tour in France)

Mike Auldridge is the dobroist who inspired me most in this period of discovery of the Dobro

Mike Auldridge was the dobroiste of the mythical group of Seldom Scene

This version of House of the rising sun is inspired by Mike auldridge version played on YT by Alex Belaqva of this classical song

I do not have the Seldon Scene musicians ... but the guys from Band in a Box are doing very well for the mandolin, the drums, the bass and fiddle  :)

I do Dobro, guitar and Melodica

PS I would love to do a cover of "Last train from poor valley in country / bluegrass style .... I am looking for a singer for this song (see topic in forum collaboration  https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=28026.0

thanks for listening guys

Great cover, one of the first songs I learned to play all the way through. Excellent musicianship as always.

Very nicely done, I really like the arrangement. Great playing and a nice style of the original.

Like Willie, this was the first song I learned to play on the guitar..... a long time ago!
