I posted an earlier version of this where i sang with a faux American accent https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=27971.0
I wasn't particularly happy with the vocals, so i completely redid them but in my own Scottish accent. In the first version i recorded each vocal in stereo which i think made them a bit muggier in the mix, in this version all the vocals are recorded in mono.

anyway it is what it is.
The devil's in the corner
My reflection in his eyes
In a place of contradictions
Should I smile or should I cry
Should I have another glass
Of his blood red wine
Maybe tell him see you later
Another place another time
Nothing rhymes but I'm in heaven
Hell's some other place
I am a creature of reason
I am a creature of reason

Now he's spreading out his papers
And he's taking out his pen
Commands I sign it now
And then kiss him on the hand
The temptation of the devil
Can bring the whole world down
And if you want to break the cycle
Then you must be strong
Nothing rhymes but I'm in heaven
Hell's some other place
I am a creature of reason
I am a creature of reason

Nice to hear you making rap/hiphop music with really catchy chorus. Nice job with the backer as well!

Loving this track, great feel and nice GarageBand work, but for me the vocals are still way too low. The spoken parts are still getting lost, although the chorus bits are fine. I think this style of music hangs of the vox, bro (as they say), if you are up for a tweak then boost them muthas up!

Great to see you coming up with something really different and very cool while you are travelling. Since we met up before you went away, I've played some guitar and thought about a lot of stuff but haven't actually done anything. And you've created a whole song!! You are a whirling dervish of musical creativity.

I agree, and I'm waiting for James's wav files for a remix.

Some fine songwriting and production Jim. Everything is placed perfectly in the stereo field which gives them superb clarity. I agree that a mild upwards volume tweak on the lead vocal is justified but even at this volume I can hear still hear the words....a sign of a good mix!
