this is great geir reminds me of can again.  just to offer you moral support you are not the only soul on here that wanders around singing into your wee box. when i am working on a song i can often be found walking in my local park with my dog singing into my wee box. me singing that is not the dog. i have never kept any of these takes but use them as ideas or sketches/rough drafts to develop the songs, the great thing with this wee box is you can take it anywhere with you. the thing is inspiration can come to you anywhere but if you have your wee box with you you can record it, how many times have you had a tune or lyric in your head and forgotten it by the time you set the recording equipment up.

Love the panned sweep of the cars and the perfect picture of streetlights and insomnia whilst all the 'normal', safe people sleep. I really like your style and originality. Actually, that's an understatement. I love what you do!

Geir

Hey, thank you all for kind feedback!!

and to answer a few Q's :
Yes it's still pretty safe to walk around in the middle of the night in Porsgrunn where I live (IF YOUR A BIG MAN (aca might read this);)) Drums are one of the "other" patterns. "lyrics" created as I walked the streets. Vox was recorded on a 50m long path between 2 streets (see pic below),  recorded in one take with the stereo mic clipped to my coat collar, the cars panning from left to right was picked up while I was singing. And the background noise in the beginning comes from the industrial area where I work.

and here's the path:

Almost every photo I've ever seen on Norway is gorgeous.  I need to visit one day--after all, I am 1/4 Norwegian.

Until then, remember: Uff Da! is Norwegian for Undo.  I think I'll keep reminding you of that until you admit it's the funniest Norwegian Boss-BR joke you've ever heard.
