Hi all, last one for a while, off to Lanzarote for some sun if we're not snowed in on Sunday.  Hope you enjoy.  Willie

Instruments ued for those of a curious nature were:- Rickenbacker 12 String, Gretsch G5420T, Fender Precision, Fender Telecaster and a Roland JD-Xi

Well I asked you once just to dance with me
You shook your head and smiled
But you can buy me a strong coffee
And we can sit and talk for a while

So we sat and watched the dancers
Spinning round the floor
And we sat and talked until it was nearly dawn
As we headed for the door

I said oh honey can I drive you home
She shook her head and said no
So I said oh baby can I see you again
She said life's a chance who knows

But I never saw that girl again
Only in my dreams
And I go to the dance hall every night
But she was right so it seems

Instrumental

Spend my days just searching
Looking high and low
But no-one seems to know her
No-one seems to know

But I bide my time looking for a sign
Just hoping that I'm right
But she's disappeared just as I feared
Like thunder in the night

Thunder in the night

Thunder in the night

Hi Willie, really enjoyed this one. As always, a lovely jangly feel and great catchy song with a nice lyrical hook. You clearly don't have enough guitars..... Very compelling chord progressions and great vocals to pull everything together.

A cool song Willie. The Ric12 sounds great as does the whole song! Have fun on vacation.
