I worked up this piece for ukulele last week during the Beast from the East / Storm Emma when it was snowing for Britain outside.  It was given the title Melting Snow then.  But now this morning I've come to record a clean version of it, it's a beautiful Spring day outside.

I went into the conservatory to record it and as luck would have it a blackbird was singing his heart out, full of the joys  of Spring, and I managed to capture some on the recording.

It's short and simple, but I'm quite proud of the finger-style performance.

Lovely sound. I am imaging the Spring melt and the birds pulling worms from the softening ground. Beautiful.
