"Georgia on My Mind" is a 1930 song written by Hoagy Carmichael and Stuart Gorrell and first recorded that year. It has often been associated with Ray Charles, a native of the U.S. state of Georgia who recorded it for his 1960

I made another Hoagy Carlmichael song it's "rocking chair",  (you can find in my jukebox)

I discovered by a research that an instrumental version was deposited in 2012 by Balleo, an Italian guy from Rome, very good version in fingering picking and Hilary had made a collaboration on this song (sorry H , the second version has disappeared from soundcloud , I could not hear it, you must rest it! ;)...)

Anyway I tried to make an instrumental version on my Dobro tuned in
EBDGBD, not common tuning , used by a great YouTube dobroist, Greg Booth (a very big one!)

... a good pianist of BIAB was kind enough to do achorus with me (they are nice these musicians of BIAB :D

Great cover JP,
Always loved this tune, so many versions,
As a song, I always liked Willie Nelson's version.
But this is class, very well done.

I absolutely love this. Just perfect. I love me a slow, weeping willowy dobro.

Can I recommend an album you might like - Andy Hall & Roosevelt Collier Let the Steel Play

QuoteJust perfec
you indulgent, I am a student in dobro guitar and luckily there is on youtube number of master who shares their know-how, something that did not exist in the 70's when I discovered the dobro ... NOTHING in France, just the first disc imported (very expensive) from the states of the Seldom Scene and then I discovered Dobro with Mike Aulbridge

No doubt you know, but for me "just perfect" is for example Martin Groos

example "Teach yourchidren"

Yeah beautiful... some great playing there JP. And beautiful noise from the Dobro. Lovely old song. The old ones are the best.

I think my Dad used to play this in his band before he retired a long time ago. So some good memories there for me.

Cool sound JP. Not an easy one to pull off. It must of taken you a while to get that arrangement down for dobro. The BIAB piano sounds good too. I like the laid back slanky groove.
