Ricet barrier is a French "fantasy" singer
the "mussel" (or the fishmonger) is the story of a lover, lovesick  puppy

it's a comic song ... but there's a second hidden meaning on the theme of incommunicability
In this song, He talks to her about love,  she talks to him about her job and  her fish only

I put as usual the lyrics in French and a translation by google

Hmm she's an alluring redhead
  My beautiful fish merchant
She has a little sticky hands
And the tanned complexion of an old Breton fisherman

And every day I see her
  Thawing mackerel
I listen to her voice that excites me
Softer than a violin

"my mold , my mold she is beautiful,  she is fresh my mold"
E7
  Oh it kill me
The day I dream ,the night I die
It drives me crazy can not stand it anymore

Because this impenetrable redhead
Live only at the time of the tide
His food is so perishable
That she never has a minute to devote

But what fishmonger's conscience
She always looks after her good clients
When I have an urticaria flare
She adds a lemon for free

"my mold , my mold she is beautiful,  she is fresh my mold"

Oh it's okay
She smells of iodine and seaweed
How to tell her that I can not

O you my fireproof redhead
Forget your periwinkles
My love is more delectable
May the most beautiful mold of Holland or Bouchot

From her lovely, caressing voice, ou-la-la-la-la-la-la
She told me ah I see what you have
Eat plaice or dab
It's very good for decalcified
E7 A7 Eb7 D7
Oh I fish in the troubling waters

Lovely recording, loving the guitar tones, and who dosen't like the french accent and language in a vocal, you can keep them coming as long as you like, you'll have a happy customer here.

First time through I followed (as best as I could) along with the French lyrics, making up my own story as you went along. Got that bit wrong as it turns out.

Second time through with the English translation,..........now I'm hungry :) :)

Cheers

Lovely song JP and the guitar is great.

(In the English translation I think "mold" should be "mussel" (Moule))
