This one has been recorded over a few days, i had the song written, but my voice was croaked, so i started with a drum track using drumjam, then added my jasmine electro acoustic guitar and woolies strat, i then recorded a guide vocal with  really sore throat. couldn't reach the high notes so left it well alone for a day or so.

i then started throwing various garageband synth pads at it, and some garageband guitars and bass, this involved lots of bounces and started getting a bit muddy i think, using headphones to bounce.

once i had all the backing tracks done, i redid the vocal.

It is what it is.

He says his glass is half empty
Denies that it's half full
Can only see the downside
And points that out to you
He's certain, never doubting
Has faith in his belief
Ain't changing his opinion
For beggar, priest or thief.
I know that you are thinking
Perhaps you'll change his mind
Well I've tried do the same thing
Won't ever try again
His world is clear and simple
No grey just black and white
Straight lines drawn in the sand
Dividing wrong and right
He's certain, never doubting
Has faith in his belief
Ain't changing his opinion
For beggar, priest or thief.
I know that you are thinking
Perhaps you'll change his mind
Well I've tried do the same thing
Won't ever try again

Don't you just love GarageBand, but it's only as good as what you put in and this is excellent. Great post.    Willie

Garbage in, garbage out — but sometimes garbage is compost, and develops into something unexpectedly beautiful.
