I got sent to the kitchen to record this one....can't think why.

And then "She who must be obeyed" had the audacity (pun intended) to walk in as I was going full pelt on the vocal
The raised eyebrows and the slow shake of the head nearly got me, but the show must go on.

Mac Davis wrote this, if you're not familiar with him please don't judge him too harshly on the strength of this one, he's actually a fantastic songwriter
he wrote "In The Ghetto" among others for Elvis.

Anyway I hope by the third chorus you'll be singing along with me................please

Cheers

Love this Ronnie I haven't heard it in years.
I was recording the other day while the boss was out, halfway through she came home, first the dog started barking, then in the middle of my song I got,"It's bloody freezing out there, " put the kettle on.  ;D
Well done.

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Hi there, that you tube link is to another of those songs that I associate with Wille Nelson,
He didn't write it I don't think, but he recorded in way back somewhere in the eighties I think

I remember me and my pal picking songs off the album to try and learn, it was between this one and Always On My Mind, we picked always on my mind
and never got round to this one, need to start working on fixing that. Like someone once said "It's Never Too Late"

Thanks for bringing back some memories

Cheers

Some of the trips down memory lane here on songcrafters send shivers down my spine. Digging some of these old tracks out from the past is very strange. Songs I honestly thought I would never hear again coming through my headphones. Tommy used to do the same thing all the time.

Excellent Ronnie... loved it. And yes I know the feeling when someone walks in on a vocal take. I try to make sure everyone is settled for the night with iPads, TV or whatever with doors closed so I get a warning if I hear a doorknob turning!! :)

Great work
