Quite popular tune, I think...

The original version by Astor Piazzolla is rather fast and someway "nervous", while I've always imagined it in a more sensual, slow and someway melancholic way, so...this is my cover, I hope you like it.

Technical stuff:

drums, percussion, accordion and bass: BIAB RealTracks

(Various tracks of) classical guitar: Godin ACS SA going through my new Zoom AC-3
electrical guitar: Gibson Les Paul Standard->Dunlop CryBaby-Kemper

Enjoy!  :)

beautiful, not familiar with the original but the title makes me think of what's happening in Catalonia, hopefully it all resolves itself as peacefully as this beautiful tune does.

This is beautiful.  I am very familiar with the version recorded by Yo-Yo Ma.  It is fast and frantic.  Your version is soulful and seductive.  I love the way that the Les Paul comes in at 2:54.  The Godin is played throughout with such feeling.

Bravo!

bravo Alfredo for your interpretation ... I always liked astor piazzola and thank you for making this choice

GODIN ACS sa,,,you have very nice guitar Alfredo
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Fantastic stuff. Don't know the original, but love the Latin sway and sultry feel of this. You've layered / mixed it so beautifully, and your playing is awesome.

What a brilliant listen!

Bravo.

Mach

Beautifully done with a nice Latin flavor. The BIAB really make a great backdrop, are those midi notes played through the engine on the program? Great listen.

Thank you all!!!  :)

Mach, there's absolutely NO MIDI in BIAB RealTracks! In fact, according to their name, they are small phragments or REAL music made by REAL musicians (and their musicians roster is often stellar. Consider, for instance, that the drums here are by the great Kenny Clarke...  :o)
It's up to you put these phragments together according to your musical taste, but anyway it's a very simple job.

Thanks again
Alfredo

yes Mach , I confirm BIAB is great!  : not midi but sample of real instruments...

for example, in my cover "Yer so bad", violin and banjo are played by Wanda Vicket,  the acoustic bass is played by Dow Tomlin, two musicians from Nashville, always available with good humor in Band in a Box   ;D
