Hi all!

Here's the latest song by James and me. As so many times before, I sent backer to James and he wrote the lyric and sung the song. Thanks a lot, James. Superb job as always!

Two tracks of La Mancha classical guitar recorded on BR-80, panned left and right. Added reverb on FL-Studio. Cellos are from ThumbJam.
Vocals recorded in stereo using the mbr fornylon setting with tap delay turned on.
Mastered using BR-800 orchestral session

Opening new doors
Unsure what the future holds
Is the grass greener over there
Or are you safe with what you know
Treading water
Barely afloat
Standing at the crossroads
Not sure where to go
Balancing the odds
Heads you win tails you lose
Treading water
Going with the flow
1.26
You can do anything
You can touch the stars
Have faith in yourself
And go with your heart
1.46
We're all behind you
Willing you on
1.56
What first seems unfamiliar
Will gradually be known
And you will find your way
On the path you have chosen
Treading water
Planning every move
You can do anything
You can touch the stars
Have faith in yourself
And go with your heart
We're all behind you
Willing you on
2.56
You can be someone
Anyone you want
As long as you are happy
Happy in your skin
We're all behind you
Willing you on
Yeah we're all behind you
Willing you on

Beautiful. The picking pattern sounds so good against that plaintive cello. And a reliably poignant and fitting vocal from Mr Higgins. It’s a a wonderful collab. So much soul and honesty.

Gorgeous stuff, chaps! Love the contrast between that driving rhythm from the acoustic guitar & the lovely falsetto vocal part. Bravo!

Nice collab ... sounds simply fantastic.  Dig the acoustic and voice openness.

Hugs to you Mark! I like also that combination with cello and guitar. Works well. James, you made so great vocals. It fits so good to the song. Words are sometimes hard to understand to us who don´t speak English on mother language. I don´t quite understand what treading water is? I don´t know what I can do, but I can try when we are coming back from the holiday. We are leaving tomorrow to Fuerteventura for two weeks. 8)
