I have been extremely slack - this was passed to me weeks ago, but new job, loads of gigs, broken car, yadayada...

Tim's original idea, James Lah di Dah, me bass, piano, Gier fab lead, Jarle rock solid skins.

Happy Birthday Songcrafters, br.org and all other incarnations.

Mike

The sun it shines for you
So get up out of bed
And pull the curtains back
Let some light in
Just think of all the good
That you could do today
Just let your inner happiness
Find it's voice

Sing Lah de dah

Don't let them grind you down
Put on your thick skin today
It's only words and curses
Water off the ducks back, just saying

Sing lah de dah

Let's have the ploughman's lunch
Down at the potter's wheel
And wash it down with cider
Maybe two or three
And you can bring your uke
And I could bring my drum
And we could knock em dead
With just one song

Sing lah de dah
We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different
- Kurt Vonnegut.

So nice to hear another one from the Kite. And I'm the first to comment - yippee!

Fab song, guys. And it's the only way to get along in this crazy world, isn't it? Did I detect a little Marc Bolan quiver in the fade out?

you did indeed, I did my singing early in the process where it was just Tim's guitar and bongos which reminded me of early T. rex song Deborah.

A real winner! Love the rootsy vibe to this... a little bit reminiscent of The Band in places. Great work, chaps!
