Well it's been a while. I started a band, Bolder Park (you can find us on myspace) and it's going really well. I've been dedicating a lot of time to this project so I haven't had much time to visit this site, but I do miss it. Some of my songs are not always well received so I figured what the hell I'll post them here to see what others think. This is a little something I wrote today, all said and done it took me about six to seven hours. i was feeling inspired. I wanted to finish it and send it off to the band (BOLDER PARK) to see what they think of it before I leave for a week back east. It's a bit guitar heavy in spots, three to four tracks at times, but that can always be trimmed up for pending vocal and bass tracks, you know, so it doesn't get too muddled. It's an up-beat song, which I like, I have to take advantage of my positive moods these days with all the doom and gloom surround us. Well, thats just me, extreme highs, extreme lows....actually that might be a bit of an exaggeration, or not, it might explain why I like The Cure so much. tee hee. boo hoo :-) :-(

it's in the key of Bminor.

Sounds great!

Sometimes you need to take a step away from the usual to "let it flow"!

I see the band members liking this!

Great Sound...I love the production its right on the money...Well Done

Greeny

A very tidy foot-tapper! Lovely clear production, and I love the way the guitars shift through tones and layers on their way through, coming together in harmony towards the chorus. It's dying out for some lyrics and vox!

Hi Erik,

Just happened to spot you posting here, great to hear from you again. I really like this, it's very jaunty for you and I do hear one or two flashes of "Friday I'm In Love". As always, nice intertwining guitar parts but as you say it might need a little opining up for vox and bass but it sounds good at present.

I checked out Bolder Park on myspace and like what you are doing over there. Great to see you actually have a band working together now and plan to make a serious go of it. best of luck and do keep us posted - I will check out your site. If I could be bothered to sign up for MySpace, I'd be your friend!

BTW, did you record this on the MBR or do you use something else now?

Cheers,

Nigel

Bro

Quite some project you have here!

I like it, it's very nice! The lead guitar really fits in and adds a great part in the final mix!

This is awesome! Great job on the drums! In fact, great job on it all! :D
If you loose track over a chord progression, play as fast as you possibly can. Nobody will know. Thats how they invented bebop.

Sounds like a Hit to me!!!

Thanks guys! I really appreciate your words of encouragement. I truly feel like I have developed my our style over the past year (after getting my Micro BR) which is very exciting for me, however, when you have a band there are a lot of compromises and sometimes a song I really like is tossed aside. I'm not saying it will happen with this one, but it may, and if it does, well, that is a bit sad for me as I get really attached to my music, as most of us do. I suppose I can always save it for another project down the road.
