Earlier this year I was preparing for my daughter's fourth birthday and I had to go and buy inflatable balloons, banners and candles.  I got to the candles and they had 1 - 2 - 3 -   -  5 - 6 and all the way up from there.  But the space where 4 would be was empty. It dawned on me that I was about to have one of the crowning moments of my life; I went up to the counter and asked the young lady there "Got any four-candles?".


Ta-dah!

Quick as a flash she looked me in the eye came back with.................."if they're not on the shelf, we haven't got any".  Oh.
