I haven't sung this one since my high school band. My BR80s headphone jack is on the fritz so I piilled out the Tascam DP008 for this one. LITLR, in the car with my Kala Resonator Uke. I really love the sound of these built in mics on the 008.

Hats off Hook!!

You did indeed make this your own, you are really feeling this one. It comes natural to you to take a song on its own little Hook journey. Class!

Doesn't sound like a car recording, hasn't got that cast.

Which is a good thing

You certainly went all-in with the performance and all the better for it.

I'm curious - when you record in-car, do you go to great lengths to find somewhere quiet where nobody will overhear you, or just pull up on the side of the road and let rip?

Stroke of genius.

I just paused my Spotify playlist of The Cult to listen to this.

Great interpretation.
Awesome singing.
The recording captures the dynamics of the singing perfectly.  Not sure how you got this to not peak too high.

Love the "ow!" at the end.

This is great as is and would also be great with bass.

Hey Hook.... these dudes so rocked balls back in the day. You nailed this one... friggin awesome.

When I saw the title, I was hoping this would be a uke cover. You have a great skill for making things completely your own.

What's the latest with the band thing you posted about a while back?
