I take advantage of the change of my strings of my Martin 000 to pose a small kind of blues in open D, with an random title "king kong goes  to Tallahassee..." (???)

it's the title that first intrigued me .. and it's from Bruce Cokcburn
Bruce comments: The Pulitzer Prize winning author Robert Olen Butler gave a call for "Three Ways to Die in the 50s." That evolved into the bluesy King Kong Goes to Tallahassee. The title is partly a reference to Butler, who lives not far from Tallahassee in the Florida Panhandle, and to Ottawa poet Bill Hawkins, who was a mentor to Cockburn in the 1960s when he first started writing songs. Says Cockburn: "Bill wrote a series of poems that featured King Kong going to various places and still getting into trouble, so the title is also something of a tribute to him."

thanks guys for listening

Brilliant tone, and brilliant playing.

Oh, excuse me this is not played in an open D chord, but a standard chord with a bass in D(drop D)

... for those who would like to try here the tabs in pJ

Well I took some liberties compared to a tabs ;D

I don't like to make personal bump... but
I saw the TV news this morning (in France)...and the damage caused by Hurricane Michael in Tallahassee
When I did this cover (and until today, I didn't know where Tallahassee was!

So I post this song in solidarity with the people of Tallahassee, and Florida in general

That was beautiful playing. Great front porch or floating down the river music. Are you tuned down at all? The strings sound a little slack. Regardless, sounds great.

Actually Booby, you have the absolute ear!.... I was tuned may be a quarter tone below and it was a drop D ;)
