Guys, this is a collaboration between me and Kenny Mac...

So basically what happened was I sent Kenny a very rough sketch to work from. I had a structure, just 1 rhythm guitar part and some drums and that was it really. Kenny has made into a song, and a very good one at that. He added some acoustic guitar parts, some strings, some lead guitar and some cracking vocals...

Enjoy... (thanks Kenny!)

Just a kid
------------------

Anyone can probably remember some mistakes they made ...regret it
Every one could change a part of life if they were giving half a chance.
All the money in the world can never buy you happiness  with someone.
All communication can be lost
if you react and shut out someone's heart

I put somebody into the picture
She looked into the eyes of my soul
I should have listened to what she had said then
But it was lost inside of my head
Cause I was just a kid.
Destiny has many roads
The one you take can fill your heart with sorrow
No one can turn back the clock
But anyone can try and make it
Anyone can break a heart
The timing can create a wall of silence
I can still remember how I felt that very day
I should have smiled and asked for her number
She held my hand and I let her go
She took a look at me and I froze there
I stood there locked and broken and scared
But I was just a kid
(Lead)
YEH I was just a kid.
(Lead)
Everyone right at the start can falter
Mess the mind and hearts
connection
I can still remember what was in there inside my head to say
All that I remember like a scene that  plays time and time again
And I still regret the way she looked at me as I walked away.

I put somebody into the picture
She looked into my eyes and soul
I should have smiled and asked for her number

She held my hand and I let her go
But we were just just two kids

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

A little cracker. Love the whole vibe of this, and the vocal melody is beautiful. Really enjoyed the solo echoing it. Great performances all-round, and such an easy, excellent listen.

There's some top notch stuff being posted at the moment.

I listened to this several times a couple of days ago on my phone and the mix is really great Kenny. You and Mike have a very nice collab here. Great performance and writing guys.

Congratulations guys, this is a real fine song.  It starts with good lyric writing.  "She looked into the eyes of my soul", that's potent stuff.  And great hook too.  Who of us didn't make mistakes when we were " just a kid".

Love the powerful vocal and the smooth as silk guitar solos.  You took a good chord progression and found a very good melody.  Well done on that.

Great collab!
