Sick to death of updates messing up gear.

Hi dudes,
Just want to vent my frustration here.
I went up to do a bit of recording using my ipb 10 by digitech that uses my ipad and discovered that the ipad has done an automatic update to ios 10 and the app that runs the pedal (that is now not being made)does not support the ipad so basically I'm goosed.
I've already had a brand new studio from roland put out of commission because it was built to run on windows 8....then you guessed it..The computer updated to 10 and I've never been able to use it again.
Its time these companies got their  act together.😢😢😢

Interesting - that's the exact reason that I bought the BR1600 some 8 or so years ago. I was fed up with trying to get a working system to work when I needed it - PC based recording, I spent more time resolving issues with drivers than I did making music. I found by the time that I'd got the 'system back', the desire to record was gone.

I went down the dedicated hardware route, and never looked back. Br1600, Kemper, effects pedals, guitars, mikes - that works all the time, every time.

Just my 10c worth - but I feel your frustration brother - and its a real hobby horse of mine.

ios is now on version 11 kenny, maybe if you update to that it will resolve issue.

HAd the same thing happen with my roland PCR 300 keyboard when 10 arrived I did find a hack at CAke walk . com and got it running It involved going in the registry and changing all the places it say 8 to 10 Took me a bit to do it but it works fine now.  They could have updated the driver but instead choose to not it in hopes you would buy new gear. Pissed me off as the keyboard was only two years old instead of getting someone to buy something new they  just lost a customer

Ever since Windows 10 came out I haven't been able to export wav files to my PC from my BR600. I now have to get out an old laptop, reset the time and date because it goes back to its default date when its off,export the wav to that, copy it to a USB stick, copy that to my PC then open it in Audacity, fo the trimming and normalising, then save as MP3 before I can upload it to Songcrafters.  Been toying with the idea of buying a new recorder but scared of the same thing happening.

My equipment seems to be working fine after the upgrade to iOS 11 but I cannot get to listen to a whole song again, something that 64 fixed only recently. How annoying is that.  Willie
