Jack Hody Johnson is a singer-songwriter, musician, actor, record producer, documentary filmmaker and a former professional surfer from the United States. Johnson is known primarily for his work in the soft rock and acoustic genres

...and I did not know this singer  :-[ :o

I discovered him recently on YT by a cover of this song  (Sittin, Waiting, Wishing) by Fret Killer (FK is a singer "anonymous" onYou tube which is a giant of guitar and singing in my opinion ...)
I have "hooked" to this song especially by its particular construction with for each measure a major chord on 2 times and a major 7chord  over two times (see lyrics and chords)

Jack Johnson - Sitting, Waiting, Wishing

Am                     Am7          G                     G7
I was sitting, waiting, wishing   You believed in superstitions
F                      F7                   C         C7
 maybe you'ld see the signs
Am                     Am7                          G                      G7
lord knows that     this world is cruel     And I ain't the lord       no 'm just a fool
F                      F7                   C         C7
Learnin lovinsome  body Don'tmake     them love (you)
E               E7            E           E7                 Am      Am7
Must I always be waiting, waiting on you?
E                E7           E           E7                 Am       Am7
Must I always be playing, playing your fool?

sang your songs  danced your dance
gave your friends all a chance
putt n' up with them   Wasn't worth    never haven' you
bABY   MUST     you've  been    through this before
But  's my first time         so please ignore
The next few lines cause they're directed at you

E                                                   Am
Must I always be waiting, waiting on you?
E                                                         Am
Must I always be playing, playing your fool?

C                           E
      I keep playing your part

But it's not my scene
                        G
Want this plot to twist
   F
( I've) had enough mystery

C                    E
      keep buildin'  it up
                                          F
But ( then you're) shooting me down
                          G
But I'm already down
                        Am
Just wait a minute

Just sitting, waiting
Just wait a minute
Just sitting, waiting

if I was in your position
I'd put down all my ammunition
I'd wonder why (it had) taken me so long
But  lord knows that     I'm not you
And if I was  wouldn't be so cruel
cause waiting on love
Ain't so easy to do

E                                                   Am
Must I always be waiting, waiting on you?
E                                                         Am
Must I always be playing, playing your fool?

ah yes of Fret Killer I kept only the small guitar phrase to 2' 02" ... that I had a lot of trouble to play! ;D
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
