I recorded the drums and guitars for this one yesterday. This morning i added a two note bass line. once i got the lyric for the chorus and title the words just flowed. i recorded the voals using the BR800's in-built mics. i had intnded to do vocals this way as a guide track but was happy with them as was.

It is what it is.

You recognise the song
But you don't recall the words
You've heard it
Somewhere before
You know the melody
And it haunts your memory
And you watch the sun
Yeah you watch the sun
Go down
You've been crying in the rain
But no one sees your tears
You just want to be alone
And that's okay
You look up to the clouds
And you watch them fade away
And you watch the sun
Yeah you watch the sun
Go down
Like a stranger on a foreign shore
Whilst the waves come rolling in
Like a man who can't take anymore
You watch the sun
Go down
You watch the sun
Go down
Well that song it strikes a chord
And sparks a memory
And it takes you
Back in time
And a smile forms on your face
And you're in a better place
And you watch the sun
Yeah you watch the sun
Go down
You Watch The Sun

I like this one james, the strings scrapes kept putting me off though.
I felt like I was waiting on the next one.
At 1st I thought it was a one off and it fitted in with in the chord change.
Is it the Bass?it's pretry prominent in the mix.
I Like the lyrics.

The scrapes are the guitar, i was playing an E shape up the guitar and my poor playing and skills are shown up as I was going up the guitar, my clumsy fingers scraping the strings. 😀

Good one, James ~~~~  love it, including the metallic slides, it has now become part of the instrumentation...  have been whistling to it a lot, with two different melodies -~~ your voice as always adds so much to your songs....
