Recommendations for next step Uke

Speaking to a chap at work. Daughter has taken to playing a Uke, wants the next step from a £30 Uke - what a good next step Uke, something with a rich sound - any suggestions for you SC Uke players?

I spent ages trying to find the right one, and with a lot of help from SC I decided on an Epiphone Les Paul electric,
I have been more than happy with it,

I agree that for the money the Epiphone Les Paul is a great deal. I gave mine to Pan and she loves it. Plays well and has a pickup to boot. Anything from Lanakai or Kahala should suffice as a step up and be quality. What ever they get make sure to put in some Aquila strings.
