Thanks for listening guys. The steel guitar is based on the Sho-bud series of pedal steels https://www.pinterest.com/pin/447756387922179176/ which to me has more harmonically rich accents than my Rickenbacker Lap steel. It has some great articulations and you modify them with the pitch and mod wheels on the midi controller. You can also use an expression pedal and can tune in Kontakt to E9 or C7 making it very versatile. But I can't afford the real deal at this time.

I love this.  I get the Jackson Browne reference, but of course its different too.  I don't know the John Moreland version, but this is cool.

Mach, this is excellent singing.  Way to go .

All instruments are played spot on and then mixed to perfection.  Excellent record, thanks for posting.

Your description of the recording is mostly over my head.  I don't know what equipment you might be
missing, but you sure are getting a lot out of what you have.
