Hi all, finally managed to finish a Byrds song for the fest.  Hope you enjoy.   Willie

Don't say you love me don't say you care
And be so far away
Telephone communication only a three minute elation
When I hear your voice

Through love and trust it's gonna work out fine
The only pain I feel is all this time
Between you and me, you and me

All the days have turned to years
Only emphasise my fears since you've said goodbye
I can hear your voice at night
I can read the words you write it's only love

Through love and trust it's gonna work out fine
The only pain I feel is all this time
Between you and me, you and me

Instrumental

Through love and trust it's gonna work out fine
The only pain I feel is all this time
Between you and me, you and me

Through love and trust it's gonna work out fine
The only pain I feel is all this time
Between you and me, you and me

Love this old Byrds song by Chris Hillman.
Sounds very smooth and great job with the harmonies and guitar breaks!

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Chalk me up as another Chris Hillman fan. His songwriting really bloomed on Younger Than Yesterday - in fact, he wrote/cowrote most of the songs on that album! Each a top quality song, too.

Beautiful cover, Willie - lots of jangle, and great lead runs put your own stamp on it. Love it!

I'm not familiar with this song Willie, but you make it sound good.
Everything sounds good production-wise, but he bass seems a little low in the mix.
You have some nice guitar pinches in there and terrific solo.
