It s a song of Bob Dylan ..cover by Byrds

I wanted to make this cover after hearing in you tube a live version with Roger McGuinn and Marty Stuart

Marty Stuart is a great guitarist in a country guitar style ... but impossible to make a solo "in the manner of" Marty Stuart  ;D :-\ also I made a lead guitar with my little guitaristics habits

NB the song is recorded with the native microphone of my computer .. a little rotten ... if I have the courage I do it again lechant with a better microphone
NB2 like Steel guitar say "Sorry for my accent, french indeed and not perfect to say it gently :-/

thanks for listening

...it was a question to Cuthbert about the vst  Reel ADT abbey road( that I used in his cover Dizzi Miss Lizzi) versus the ADT vacuum sound

Thanks for your question.JP

I actually have used the vacuumsound ADT plugin (http://www.nullmedium.de/dev/audioplugins/) before, and it works pretty well for the ADT effect. It's not quite the same as the Waves plugin, which is modeled more closely to the original Abbey Road ADT controller box, which controlled a second tape recorder by modulating its speed and then fed the signal back into the first recorder. The user interface is quite different for each one (vacuumsound ADT has direct-entry of numbers in different fields, whereas the Waves AR ADT has a visual interface that lets you turn knobs and drag faders for the virtual "second recorder".

I understand that the vacuum sound ADT (which is free) is different from the ADT reel abbey road

... but to start the vacuum is already interesting;

I pass the voice of my cover in the vacuum ADT vst and here is the result you can compare to the first version

Nonsense, sounds like a perfectly good French accent to my ears.

I really enjoyed that, JP.  Don't know the original (either version) but the structure of it put me in mind of Neil Young's The Days That Used to Be in my head

WOW yes Nick!  Idid not know this song of Neil Young and indeed the intro chords and the 8 first measures are exactly the same  :o >:((I thought for a moment a plagiarism .. but after the melodic line really changes ;D

Nicely done, JP - very authentic 60s flavor to it! And I really like the ADT vocals addition.
