Il Mondo in Mi settima, or in English "The World in E7" (more than six minutes in ONLY E7 chord) is a very popular song in Italy. It was composed and sung in 1966 by Adriano Celentano. It's someway an universal song, since the lyrics, written more than 50 years ago are unfortunately estremely actual today.

Lots of fun recording this one, and lots of guitars (acoustic and electric) involved. Only drums and bass are BIAB Realtracks. The brass section is a Kontakt library driven by a Godin ACS SA -> Boss GP-10 Guitar-to-MIDI

Since it's quite likely that not all of you understand Italian  ::) , following here the translated lyrics:

The World in E7

I take the newspaper and read that
There are no honest people in the world.
Why is the world so bad?
Yes, that was us who ruined
This masterpiece hanging in the sky,
In the sky, in the sky!

I read that there is
Everytime a war on earth,
But fortunately
We will reach the moon
While here we have nothing to eat,
We have nothing to eat!

Every atomic bomb is a bowl
And mankind are the skittles,
The caprice of a head,
And the world will blow up!
They rob on Monday
And kill on the other days.
Look at the society:
Hypocrisy, here and there, that is not acceptable!
Morality doesn't exist,
There is a complex for everyone,
A sexual problem,
And the serious persons
Who don't tell stories
Are sent into vacation!
This world is the monopoly
Of wrong ideas;
Here they honour films
With one more dead.
They devour novels with suspicion,
Even in sport there is corruption.

Spoken:
No, guys, do not be saddened like this!
Ico, why are you crying this way?
Hey, we'd be in a fix if on earth really happened all of this.
Hey, even you know it, don't you:
Sometimes the newspapers exaggerate everytime a bit!
Look at what they write about me!
And when we look at this newspaper, who knows from which year it is...
Yeah, now I really want to see the date...
It is from today!

And when we all together
Unite in a clan,
The world will change.
When we give a helping hand
To those who need it most,
There will be just love, just love,
There will be just love!

Enjoy!  :)

1 / I did not know this song, thank you for the discovery

2 / ... and thanks for the translation

3 / very nice construction and set up on a single chord

4 / the brass section with kontakt is really good

5 / BIAB, I know and appreciate

6 / Ahh just a small technical question; How do you make "enter" a piece of 5mn30 in the SC frame of SC which is maxi 7341 KB?

PS I love Jose Feliciano ,   José Feliciano said himself ".that he was not a musician of pop, Latin or jazz,... but that he was just a musician ..."

Nice job! One of the most surprising fests of recent times... so much great music on only a single chord.

First of all, many thanks!  :)

Well, it's rather simply, JP, if:

- you record (and/or transcode) your audio files as WAVs or AIFs.

- after that, when you have your final mixdown WAV file, "Save (it) as"...MP3 file (I use Adobe Audition, but every DAW has this basic feature).

- at this point, you may choose the kbps "resolution" of the mp3. Higher the value (160, 192, 224 kbps), higher the space needed on disk. So, practically, for a file 3 minutes long audio file I can choose without any problem even a 224 kbps resolution mp3, but with a 6 minutes long audio file I need to go down a little, say 160 or 124 kbps.

I hope it make sense to you...  :D usually Sessantaquattrochitarre is the real MASTER for explaining well this kind of things  ;)

Thanks again everybody!  :)

I have to add something, about one chord songs & Adriano Celentano.

There is another "One Chord song" in his repertoire, the absolutely CRAZY "Prisencolinensinanciusol".  ;D

From Wikipedia:

Prisencolinensinainciusol" [prizeŋkolinensinainˈtʃuːzol] is a song composed by Adriano Celentano, and performed by Celentano and his wife, singer/actress-turned-record producer Claudia Mori. It was released as a single in 1972, and a popular performance of the song was broadcast on RAI.

The song is meant to sound to its intended Italian audience like English spoken with an American accent, but the lyrics are actually pure gibberish, with the exception of the words "all right". Celentano's intention with the song was to explore communications barriers. "Ever since I started singing, I was very influenced by American music and everything Americans did. So at a certain point, because I like American slang—which, for a singer, is much easier to sing than Italian—I thought that I would write a song which would only have as its theme the inability to communicate. And to do this, I had to write a song where the lyrics didn't mean anything."

It's an amazing song, its rhythm and brass riff can't get off your head, and few evenings ago I noticed something in one of the episodes of the last Fargo TV series...

Thank you Alfredo ,

I understood for the MP3 ... great! (I'm rather a bit null in computer science)
From now on, I could put the songs in full ;)

Incredible story that this song of AdrianoCelentano,... I always thought it was English !!

I remember that in the 60's with my musical group of teenagers, when we played cover of the Beatles or the Stones, as we were very null in English (and I'm still), we sang a gibberish which in French was called     "yogurt " which sounded a bit like English but did not mean anything

Once, at the time, we made listen, to a song interpreted, like that, in Yogurt,  to a young English friend (the song was Fox on the Run....) she found it well, like another language ;D ;D ...

PSI realized that the Romance that you interpreted so well in your topic is built as retrato brasileiro
Part 1 in Em, part 2 in E major
