Here's my tribute to Reg.

I can't play piano so you only get me banging out some piano chords to add a little keys texture.

I've tried to country it up with some travis picking. The rest of the arrangement is pretty basic with me trying to keep out of the way of the vocals and the guitars.

It was all recorded through the BR800 and mixed in Sonar.

I mastered the final mix in LANDR.

I hope that you like it.

Well played Ian! I've always liked this song. I had a bash at a couple of Reg Dwight songs myself recently (well four actually!) He was on top of his game in the '70s IMHO. It's certainly quite an education dissecting his art. Good stuff!

Don't know the original song, but I really liked this. And I've come to appreciate Elton's 70s catalog a bit more lately - well done, Ian!
