I'm trying to mix this track for our website to get some gigs it's going to be the first of many hopefully. But as you can imagine we can't agree on the mix the drummer wants more drums the giutarist wants more ....well you get the idea. So i have mixed this to the best of my ability which invoved a lot of guess work. I've mixed it with headphones, i read that it is best to mix with monitors but you try telling the wife that at gone midnight. I'm using Logic x .I'd like you to have a listen to it and tell me where i'm going wrong if you could please. Any help or advice is welcome. I'm sure it won't confuse me anymore than my bandmates have this evening. Thanks in advance.

Drums seems to sit good in the mix guitar is right there the only thing my old ears get is the vocal could be just a touch more up front. If you want the drums to stand a little more add some 12k to them though I do not think they need them. Over all, sounds good, after you mix with the headphones make a CD and go out and play in the car as most people listening to the audition usually do not have high end stuff. If you get it good in the car you are set.
Just my options though and what do I know Good Luck

I agree with Tim, more vocals and (IMHO) lower guitars. Maybe a little more drums, but this shoud be seen after changing volumes on vocals and guitars.

And...no more mixing on phones.  ;)

I'm a year late getting to reply here, but better late than never.

I like the drums and vocal where they are but I do think the guitar is too loud and is overpowering the rest of the tracks.
