"Everybody's Talkin'" is a song written and recorded by singer-songwriter Fred Neil in 1966. A version of the song performed by Harry Nilsson became a hit in 1969, reaching No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and winning a Grammy Award after it was featured in the film Midnight Cowboy. The song, which describes the singer's desire to retreat from other people to the ocean, is among the most famous works of both artists, and has been covered by many other notable performers.. my favorite version is the one of Iggy Popp (incredible low voice and tremolo in this version

Some technical notes on my cover:

- recorded on Reaper, with a microphone AKG precision

 - the bass guitar is electroacoustic but not connected, just in front of the microphone this is why we hear  "snap finguers" like a parasitic sound

- Strumming guitar with twelve string guitar LAG

- The second with guitar Martin 000

_ Harmonica with a chromatic Thoman (difficult for me and not very good result because I  play  very rarely of the chromatic harmonica  ;D

- voices 2 and 3 of the choirs are  (very freely) inspired by the version cover of CSN (in what album??)

thank you for your listening

I love it brother, authentic live Sound and I likes the chromatic harp. I would be way to scared to even try one. Well done.

Oh Man, what a lovely laid back version of the song, your vocal delivery is just perfect for this song,

I just love songs that I can close my eyes to listen to and build a picture of the story their telling me, and this checks that box beautifully.

This one is going on my playlist for the car, very calming

I,m jealous of the harmonica track, something i've always wanted to include in some of my songs, I can't play the harmonica, thats not enough to stop me from trying, but all the harmonicas i've looked at seem to be limited to one key, am I missing something here?.

going to check out your back catalouge when i get home tonight...

cheers

Ronnie

Great tune, great version. Love it, I always dig your personal spin on tunes. Harp and harmonies sound great. Gives it a breezy, beachy feeling.

Ever hear Tedeschi Trucks Band's version? Very different, but probably my favorite. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeQ_wsqsjzI

Jean Pierre

thank you Ronnie for your verry sympathic comment

The used harmonica is chromatic with a piston(valve) which allows to make half a tones
It is the harmonica which is less used in our time, blues man prefere diatonic harmonica who allow to make bends notes
The chromatic harmonica thus allows to play all the tones but it is  difficult because shémas changes every tone (as in the piano for example)
I am not not very satisfied with my track of harmo,  and can be to redo if I have the courage!

Excellent and incredible version BrettBob !

Listen to the version of Iggy Pop if you do not know it, more classic but an astonishing deep voice..
