All I can say about the mix is that it sounds great when played LOUD! Crancked it up  on the PA system of the local blues bar's jam session stage last night in between sets, and it sounded GREAT! Lots of positive response from the public too (particularly on the guitar parts obviously ;) ). The bass could be just a notch higher. Saijinn, if you decide to remix, that's ok, I can integrate a new mix as long as the starting point of the mp3 is exactly the same (I don;t think that would be a problem; it syncs fine with the built-in rhythm (ballad-v1 @ 60bpm))

It was my crappy work headphones... when I got home and listened to it on the BR I could hear the bass just fine. Apologies... I feel stupid for posting that it needs bass....  :-[ :D

OK... here's some vocal. I'm not thrilled with what I've done on this... it's a killer to sing, but I gave it my best shot. This is to prove I tried  :-[

Oh boy have I been waiting for this!
I think it's very good; you seem to get into it more as the song progresses. With a bit of post-production we could get this to work very well.
I think it would be great if I could get the separate vocal and bass tracks from you guys (if you want I'll give you my mail address)

I only know the Hall & Oates version of it. It's one of their earliest songs and less 'eighties' than the others... just a beautiful, soulful love song. If you knew that version, you'd know why I struggled!

On second thoughts, I think I'll re-do the vox and send them separately. I'm pretty sure I could get some improvements on this.

Nice collab guys!  It's got everything now to make a complete cover tribute!  Them some tough note to sing in there Greeny - but you nailed it!  Nice fade too!

Call me out-of-touch, but I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS A COVER! :D It never was a hit over here. Just listened to the original for the first time, and thought it was kinda funny they also picked a bell-type e-piano. I did mess up some of the original changes with the synth though

Great job Greeny! Besides trying to sing Darryl Hall, it couldn't have been easy to sing along to a melody that I phrased slightly different.

Good job though. ;)
