I just got back from five days backpacking in the Grand Canyon.  Down at Phantom Ranch there was an acoustic guitar you could borrow. It wasn't a good guitar at all. "The Old Hickory" was printed on the head. I played, but I was not inspired, except to take this photo for Tharek.

All that reverb and echo makes it sound like it's coming from the next valley over... or maybe across the canyon. I first heard it and while I liked it, I was thinking this could be too much... but listening to the playing and the immense space it creates I realized it's just right. Way to nail it.
