So - Em9 it is then.  Strat through a Axefx2, yamaha Motif XS7, Presonus Studio one 3 pro.

My daughter sent me a photo of a really tacky table lamp in the shape of a baboon covered in blue velour.  She does live in Hull which may explain a lot.  City of culture apparently.  Sadly she didn't buy it for me.

Sorry - the photo has gone a bit huge.  I hope I haven't blown the site up.   :o

Lovely sounds and tune, great use of a single chord. Full of class, unlike the table lamp :-)

I had to throw out my bed-side lamp this morning, and I found a link: http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_304055621145_-1

Simply amazing how you stretched and abused that one chord. Super, super clever post. Is the arpeggiated thing in the piano roll, or is something else going on?

Thanks people!

So the lamp was in Debenhams - I assumed that Emma had spotted it in an avant-guard upcycling hipster shop.  If it had been about 20 quid I would have been tempted to invest.  A bit less tempted at £95 - I want a car for that sort of money!  ;)

Blooby - most of the arpegiated bits are odd notes played on guitar using fairly extreme delay and pitch shifting settings on the Fractal box, but the one that I inserted in several places (the good one that first appears at about 30secs) is a loop that I found in Studio One.  I had to cut it about a bit to make it fit, but basically it is a stock loop so I can't take much credit for it.

I'm really enjoying using the multi-track drum stems from Presonus.  They certainly help to keep the track count up.  They are surprisingly adaptable.  I deliberately put a few bars of 5/4 in this piece to see if I could cut the stems about and make them work.  Presonus have released another collection which I might get.  Or shall I get the lamp?
