This was another tune that was cobbled together when Forrest, a new bass player, came by to jam. John suggested that the drums swing a bit more, and it fell together (whatever it is).

It had several titles, but this is what John told me to name the original song file.

Excellent song! Sort of a psychedelic Allman Brothers sort of sound. Definitely one for a late night session with the "herbs". Love the guitar work & the vocals are superb too... oh, and so is the mix. It's just an all round winner for me!

Here are the lyrics, in case anyone is interested.

If I'd mustered up the courage
When the time had come to act
Trusting what I had
Not bemoaning what I lacked
Leaping at the moment
Instead of holding back
Would I now have the things
I think I might have had

Can a single opportunity
Seized or let pass
Start a cascade of consequence
In which I am cast

Make or break a lifetime
Defined by this pass
Take or stay and wither
Like poorly watered grass

Should I leave time for tomorrow
Or focus on the now
Expending all my resource
Without regard to how
Choosing just to act
Without giving a thought
To what it may become
Or what may be wrought

Can a single opportunity
Seized or let pass
Start a cascade of consequence
In which I am cast

Leaping into action
Has never been my way
Yet a life of hesitation
Means that all will stay
Until I make my mind choose
To watch or to seize
The moment as it passes
To take or to let leave
