Holy shit! I was expecting Jon Anderson to come in at any moment. Sheer brilliance.

That main short arpeggio thingie grabbed me right away. Immediately grabbed my acoustic to play along. I hope this serves as an introduction to a longer piece.

..actually a very nice sounding piece - nothing wrong with the mix to my ear...
...excellent...
There is a beautiful symphony playing within us all..

Glad you like it people!

I should explain that I am not left handed.  I often struggle to think of titles for my music as they tend to be instrumentals so I just grab at anything that sounds title-like.  I recently heard someone mention Fleming's Left Hand rule which apparently allows you to work out the direction of output of an electric motor from the current and magnetic field.  I went to school at the Ambrose Fleming School in London and remember the staff banging on about this.  Ambrose Fleming also invented the thermionic triode which are quite useful in valve guitar amps so.....

When I said that I struggled mixing this it was because this was the first time that I have used properly recorded drum stems.  I usually "play/program" my drums on a keyboard then record them track by track into my DAW, so although I mix them I am dealing with sampled sounds it is not really like dealing with a real kit.  The stems I used here are real multi-track recordings so it was pretty much like the real thing. I had listened to the room and ambient mic tracks which sounded a bit muffled so turned them down in the mix. I expected to get the most punch from the close miced tracks but at first was pretty disappointed with the sound.  After faffing about with eq and compression and the like I eventually turned the room tracks up and things got a lot more like it.  In hindsight this is probably why they give you these tracks, but this was a revelation to me.  Duh!

Blooby - I have it in mind to expand this into a larger piece - perhaps with a few more chords.

Top class job as I expected!! Poetic melodies (well said Mark) around one chord! This has a bit Jethro Tull vibe imo...

I'm on the third listening and I must say the melodies are very catchy. Probably I'm whistling and humming this all the day :D

Enjoyable listening!

That's a great sounding acoustic. Well played and recorded. And I like how you change up the feel while keeping that one chord solid. This is a well arranged song.
