i had my jasmine acoustic out this morning and this song came out of the ether quite quickly. however i didn't have time to record it, but scribbled it down on paper.

i came back to it this afternoon, first off i created the drum track using drumjam. i then transferred that to my br800. then rather than using my acoustic , i dug out my woolies strat, and recorded the main riff to the song. then added two more strat tracks but using guitar as a kind of drone, i then added bass guitar, then dug out my juno di for some ambience.

there are three vocal tracks, lead vocal is an octave higher than the two doubletracked/backing vocals.

mixed in headphones so probably very muddy and droney .lol.
it is what it is.
behind her eyes
there is a world
infinity
and in that world
of mystery
there is so much
not you nor i
not anyone
could ever know
behind his eyes
a world exists
he wants to share it with you
but there's no words
that he can use
to make his dream come true
not you nor i
not anyone
could ever know

Wow, you completely hit this one out of the park. Loving the "Within You, Without You" vibe and then the complimentary B section. Bloody great production as well. Super nice.

Nice one james, you've created a cool soundscape and the lyrics are good too.
That rest you had has certainly recharged your batteries.

I think I might do a remix as the bass seems a bit low in the mix.

ok a remix with the bass guitar given more prominence, i actually remixed the levels quite a bit on all the parts (still on headphones and i worry it still sounds muddy) 1st version was mastered using the br800 orchestral mastering preset, this version i used the acoustic mastering preset.

i am gonna get all boscko with this one and dig out the monitors. someone stop me.

I hear the bass more, you could still crank it up a little I think.
