I noticed that there'd hardly been any submissions for The Who fest so it was time to put that right. I suggested this one to Kenny & he was up for it straight away.

Our version is based on a mixture of the original version & the cover by Van Halen. I'm not the biggest VH fan, but if you haven't seen the You Tube video of them doing an impromptu jam of this song, it's definitely worth looking up. There are parts on this where Kenny sounds eerily like Roger Daltrey... a brilliant vocal! But then again... it's Kenny so what do you expect?

Anyway... all the usual suspects: Tele; no-name bass; Cakewalk SI drums; Vox Tonelab.

Thanks for listening :)

What a slow start to a fest - over 2 weeks to the first post ! Anyway, this is a superb opener - awesome work from you two as usual. Kenny's vocal is great and Johnny's guitar work is as brilliant as ever. Think I need to book me a few lessons Johnny !

Rockin' cover sounds pretty good. I was impressed with the vocals coming across so well and enjoyed the rocking guitars which is what I generally like most about the Who to begin with.

I was hoping you two would have a go at one of the Who classics as I had a feeling Kenny would do a good job on Daltrey's vocals... and he does indeed do an uncanny job. Really beautiful soloing Johnny. This one came together beautifully gents.
