I just fixed the mix - the vocals were blaringly atrocious. It wasn't that good anyway but I have my standards

That's a cool effect you're using and it does lend a little strangeness, but think of it as unique, cuz this is cool. The laid back delivery in the vocal and melody work really well. That is a cool drum track. Sometimes drums first is a great strategy in being creative.
