Yeah never got my head around the black and whites.
It is the Roland GR-33, so previous generation. A lot of very good sounds though. but it takes a lot of getting used to!

I am thinking the same thing.  What would a newer version of this be like and cost?  I want one, I want one, I want one.

They have 3 models now; entry level to high end.
The top of the line VG99 has a complete boss GT10 multifx included plus they have focussed a lot on synthesizing various types of guitars, so you can play any type (archtop, acoustic, etc.) on any crappy guitar that has the GK pickup mounted. Not like the "acoustic simulator" fx on various boss products, but synthesizer generated.
Haven't tried it out, but looks pretty cool on youtube demo's.
