This mix ain't bad, especially for "rough." Someone mentioned the vocals being a cross between Tom Waits and Captain Beefheart and I wouldn't have made those connections but I can definitely see it. I'd add you got a hint of Howlin' Wolf to the mix. Sounds dirty, just the way I like my blues.

Thank you gentlemen for all your kind words on this tune.

I've just posted another version of the mix at the start of this thread. I'd love to get some feedback from you guys on whther or not the harp is too loud in the mix. I've listened to so many various mixes of this tune that I'm starting to go a bit crazy and beginning to no longer trust my ears.

Let us know what you think.
Warmest regards,

Captain Jimbo

Well me being a Mississippi boy and a harp player this hits on all the notes. Delay and reverb on a harp is always hard when recording as the harp usually has a lot of reverb when playing live in a hall. Excellent recording. In the beginning riffs you could have put the harp more in front to showcase it then dialed back to where you are now on the vocals as a accent. But that is just me and my opinion which does not count for much as least according to my wife.  Excellent recording really liked it, now let me go fill my mason jar back up with some sweet tea
