Track 163 - Strike a chord

Using the chord of E minor - using the bass line to get some movement :-)
I can imagine this with some vocals - I tried some, but it sounded a bit naff - so left them off.
Song built around a bespoke multi-waveform flanger built by Paul. A crazy pedal!!!!

Update 12/Mar ...

Thanks all for the comments - appreciated as always.

Here's the details of the flanger

see http://electricdruid.net/flangelicious-a-super-dooper-flanger/

Technically, all based on the e minor chord - however this is hard. If you change the voicing of the chord (eg the bass note), then it can morph into an inversion (essentally a different chord - damn that music theory) - so is that still an single chord??? This makes this fest really quite difficult - and also, at the same time, quite interesting as a writer of songs. My big learn from this (and I kind of knew this anyway - but it is a great reminder), that you dont always need to change the chord, but change something else around the edges. I'm not 100% convinced, you see, that this meets the single chord fest, although I know that the core of the song was a single chord, as I know what I played  :o :o :o :o :o - however why do I have this unease about meeting the fest-criteria, and that is an interesting thought!!!!

Details are three stereo guitar tracks, core track is a heavily flanged track, the second is the lead and very clean, and third follows the lead but is a messed up "Dirty Robot" sound (I really like that pedal), played but tracking around 1 bar behind kinda following the lead. All dripping in delay and heavy reverb for good measure.

So cool - this hums right along and unless I was listening for it, I'd never expect it was only a single chord. Guitar & bass sound fantastic.

Magical stuff! A really atmospheric vibe on this one. I love the way it's layered & that bass riff & drums just propel it along brilliantly!

Oh man this is so good my brother. Spy movie stuff all the way and so creative around 1 chord. I thought about the fact that with every non chord tone I added it Technically changed the chord but I think if there is an instrument Cleary keeping the rythm and progression to 1 chord the rest is production. When a guitarist writes a melody we don't say it changes the chord progression...except for jazz I guess.
Well done brother.
Rock on!
