This one was for me a "Love-at-first-hearing" matter...

I've listened to it a couple of weeks ago. The composer is Cisco, former singer with Modena City Ramblers

The title, "I Giorni della rabbia" means "The Days of Anger". It's a lullaby, but not the usual lullaby: a father tells his son to do everything he wants, run, play, laugh, because there will be time for anger, later...

Here is (my) English translation:

You little brat, you young rascal, play all the time you want
You little brat, you young devil, play and don't care about us
Shout loud, keep laughing, run far away
Since the days of fire and anger will come, later
Since the black days of anger will come, later

You little brat, you young rascal, try all the games you know
You little brat, you young devil, roll yourself in troubles
Dirty hands, dirt in your face, jump on the lawn and go
Since the days of fire and anger will come, later
Since the black days of anger will come, later

Shout loud, keep laughing, run far away
Since the days of fire and anger will come, later
Since the black days of anger will come, later

Unlike anything I've ever heard before... kind of like The Pogues with Italian rap lyrics. Utterly mesmerising and brilliantly original! Well done indeed!!!

Dear Alex, it's really a funny coincidence that you bump this one exactly today, since today (or more exactly yesterday...) according to most political experts has been "Il giorno della rabbia" here in Italy.
Only time will say if this anger will bring something good or not...

Thanks again everybody
Alfredo
