Forgive the warts here, but this does manage to capture the looseness of one of our gigs (some might lean toward other adjectives). I thought I had posted "Bird Song" before, but I couldn't find it. Might have been part of one of those medleys I subject you to from time to time. Speaking of which, this came out of the song "Lucky" by Storyville.

It's a bit awash in reverb, but the song is kind of spacey to begin with. The couple times where the reverb goes nuts on the guitar was from a pedal. You know, cause you can never have too many pedals at an acoustic gig.

Out of our powered mixer into the Micro BR. No matter how much I turn the sensitivity down (both internally and on the side of the device), I am still getting a bit of distortion during peaks.

Bird Song

All I know is something like a bird within her sang,
All I know she sang a little while and then flew on,
Tell me all that you know, I'll show you snow and rain.

If you hear that same sweet song again, will you know why?
Anyone who sings a tune so sweet is passin' by,
Laugh in the sunshine, sing, cry in the dark, fly through the night.

Don't cry now, don't you cry, don't you cry anymore.
Sleep in the stars, don't you cry, dry your eyes on the wind.

All I know is something like a bird within her sang,
All I know she sang a little while and then flew off,
Tell me all that you know, I'll show you snow and rain.

Blooby you sure play a mean acoustic and the recording sounds pretty good, I can barely hear distortion.
I love Storyville, David Grissom is one of my favs. I get a little of that from "Lucky", but you guys have a cool
Dead cover here. Everyone borrows...it's a constant cycle. Great vox Lurker!

Great song, great performance!  What else can I say?

You did a fine job recording the acoustic guitar, I never seem to get that just right.

The vox is spot on as well.

I'll second that! I always look forward to clicking "play" on the live posts you chaps put up. You always get such a full arrangement out of just a single guitar & voice. Brilliant!
