Was feeling like my Mexican Strat was being left out. Been working on this one for the last week on my Dp24. I did do the vocals in my closet on the Br80. This is my 1st attempt at micing my new drum kit, I used one condenser/AKG 214 (low and behind) and 2 dynamic/Sure beta58 & an AKG D5 over & around. If you look under the crash and between the small tom & floor tom, under the desk you can see the condenser. I think it sounds cool but I guess there is some phasing on the cymbols, not exactly sure what that is.

1 Electric fingerpick guitar (stereo)
1 Lead Electric guitar (stereo)
3 drum mics
1 Ubass
1 Lead vocal (stereo)
2 background vocal (stereo)

Small Box Of Light
written & performed by Hook
A small box of light
That slowly moves across the floor
I can follow it with my eyes
But I can't stand in it
I can't receive it's heat

A shadow of a Web
An intricate
Woven
Screen
Metal & harsh
Filling my small box of light

A small box of light
Shrinking into the fold of the walls
Replaced with florescent
For just a while

Sounds being changed by the light
Anger growing
Steaming
Anxiety
Complex and fragile
Cowering in my small box

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

Trippy song Hook. I'd love to know what settings you use for vocals with the BR80 as it's always a struggle for me. I like that music room too.

The new cocktail kit sounds great - I think the phased cymbal actually complements the song. Digging all the sounds you added there, and some really interesting background vocals, too.

Did I mention you are the CrimeFest master? Well, you are! :)
